Hi I also got a new ntl boradband installation. The engineers where in on Saturday Sep 24th and they insisted in touching the pc and registering the ntl cable modem online.

NTL's cable modem worked fine on that Saturday and the following Sunday. But on Monday problems started. My internet connection with NTL is more offline then online. The lamp "ready" is flashing and the status is usually network access denied.
I asked for a replacement but the helpdesk on the phone insisted in sending out an engineer.
regards

Matthais

Although we do like to keep common issues together, there are times that it's easier to have separate threads for specific issues, and installations inevitably prove to be individual.

It may be that the modem itself is at fault, however equally it can be the signal from the cable that is out of tolerance. Some diagnostics can be run remotely by the helpdesk staff. As a result they will have determined the need for any engineer. That's your best option.

Let us know if the engineer solves it.
