Let's list what our jobs are - something different I suppose! :)

I work for 118UK, monitoring incoming call volumes and directing them appropriately to the 4 call centres, gauging statistics and arranging rotas around peak times.

Oh and I get accused of being racist and a narrow-minded bigot too but I don't get paid for that ;) :(

On-Line Communications Manager for a well-known international hotel company. For the last 12 months I've been working with our IT department on building an intranet system that's technically sound but focused on business communication (my background is journalism). We've just launched and we're quite proud of it!

In addition I am editor of our PLC website, with an eye on quality of information published by our network of content editors around the world.

It's a depressing experience ... I had two spells on the dole (not that they dole out very much) after graduation.

Hopefully you'll find something soon!

I work in the Food Industry, our department writes specifications for the products we make, which includes ingredients declarations, allergy data, etc.

Increasingly this is being done using the internet, with the data we provide being used to build stuff like the extra info you can get on retailers "home shopping" sites, for example.

Down the phone you didn't have to face their BO and general mankiness though but yeah the benefits of being able to huckle someone can't be understated. :)

I also was not a member of CF back in 2003, but back then I was working as Technical support for NTL, then outsourced to Inept Business Management /Moronpower, in total I did 6 years of broadband support, then 6 months of ADSL support which was not proper teching, but then again ADSL aint proper broadband ;-} .
5 months of unemployment.
Now I am enjoying working as a Tech for a company that provides outsourced support, and values it's staff.

I was not a member in 2003 either but at that time I was an Order Picker for Sainsbury's then B&Q and after that I delivered decking around the country, I found that I had a worn hip so while off sick I applied to Virginmedia in 2007 and became a call centre agent.

Rather a diverse selection of jobs but all good fun.

I was not a member in 2003 but my work history as follows

2001 = Sales Assistant for TJ Hughes
2003 = 1 year contract in low level IT support at my university (while studying)
2004 = IT Technician for my old high school (work placement)
2005 = Junior IT Tech for local NHS trust
2006 - Present = Senior IT Tech for same local NHS Trust

Not a particularly exciting employment history...I'm currently looking for something a bit more challenging :)
