I'm curious to see how much stuff costs in Britain. I have a few items here. Would someone be so kind as to give a sort of average price, in pounds, for each item? I'm trying to compare prices between the two countries.
Keep in mind that our GDP per capita is about 17% higher than that of Great Britain, so on average, a price deviation of 15% or so is considered, in my book, pretty much the same price.
So here goes, for Canada:
Big Mac Meal - GBP 2.72
12 cans of coke - GBP 1.36
6 bottles (about 355 mL each) of local beer - GBP 4.76
price of electricity, in pounds per kW hours - GBP 0.02 per kW hour
cost of a movie ticket, friday night - GBP 6.12
gas, in pounds per liter - GBP 0.29 per liter
And because it is just after 4 in the morning, I can't seem to think of any other items. Bah.
