2mbit Broadband Slow

Hi. =)

Ok, Hopefully someone can help me.

I just upgraded my broadband to 2mbit service today. An engineer came this morning and replaced my old pace STB with a Samsung one. However having gone to a few "speedtest" websites it seems to not even be reaching download speeds of 1 mbit. (hovering around 960k)

Im not sure if this is because all these speedtest sites are in USA or whether NTL have done something wrong.

The QOS on the STB says (stb-light.cm) which seems suspisious to me, so can anyone confirm something is wrong or whether it's an average speed im getting. Before I spend 20 minutes on hold.... ;)

1st 128K took 547 ms = 239620 Bytes/sec = approx 1994 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 532 ms = 246376 Bytes/sec = approx 2050 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 531 ms = 246840 Bytes/sec = approx 2054 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 547 ms = 239620 Bytes/sec = approx 1994 kbits/sec

2nd 128K took 1344 ms = 97524 Bytes/sec = approx 811 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 922 ms = 142161 Bytes/sec = approx 1183 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 1265 ms = 103614 Bytes/sec = approx 862 kbits/sec

I thought someone might no was the STB QOS for each speed was... coz stb-light.cm does sound like the lower service.

STB - light : is 1meg.... need to speak to CS to get a new hit sent to STB.
