Hi can someone explain to me the difference between the NTL modems;

Cable modem 100/120/200
Cable modem 250 and the
Terayon?

Cable modem 100/120/200

They are pretty much all the same under the hood, apart from some cosmetic changes such as different coloured connectors at the back, and a different name.

Terayon?

I think these were the originals, along with the Motorola Surfboards when you hab to buy your hardware outright rather than renting it from NTL.

The 250 is a third the size of the 100-200 range and is the latest version. Terryons are the 3rd incarnation of ntl cable modems it goes like this

3com
motorola
terrayon
100
120
200
250

the latter 4 are all specced almost the same and will just be revisions.

so having a 250 over a 200 wouldnt result in any performance benefits?

the original modems were the usr cmx ones which we had to buy at £149.99 , all the others were just ntl rentable ones
