Came across this car today on a google look for mustang's for a friend who is looking to buy one.

So then what is your coolest car on the planet?

What do you consider to be the best vehicle the one if you was picking up your dream date you would like to be in?

And please no Saxo's :disturbd:

i'm sorry but that mustang is an abomination. i don't care if it's a GTR 500000bhp, it is hideous  ;)

i'd prefer my 106 any day to that.

anyway, i saw a DB9 in edgbaston yesterday. Made me want it.

The Bugatti Veyron appears to have it all:

A W-16 engine that can produce 1,001 horsepower
A top speed of 250+ mph (400+ kph)
A zero-to-60 time of three seconds
A zero-to-180 time of 14 seconds
A price tag somewhere in the $1,000,000 range

The best car I owned was my Audi TT. I am hoping to get another one soon. The finest car I have driven is the Porsche 911 in it's various guises; the 993 was great, the 996 was better, but I haven't tried the 997 (yet!). I've driven Ferraris, and wouldn't touch one with a bargepole. Also driven most other makes (many years with links to the motor trade), and there is nothing that comes close to the Porsche as an overall package IMO.

Porche 911 was cool, but a bit of understeer at times, my bro got rid after a shunt. :erm:

just think though, would need a full service every 20 miles or something daft... :erm: hope they supply it with a healthy stack of clutches ;)

Good site (http://www.highresautoimages.com/jaguar/xjs1.html)

Red is not the best colour they produced, but 5.3 V12 300 BHP 150 mph all day long, loads of torque. It will pass anything on the road except a petrol station :disturbd:

My uncle used to have a Jaguar (XJ6 IIRC). My aunt went to borrow it, my Uncle said "You'll need to stick some petrol in it". My aunt replied "Oh, I'll bung in a tenner or so". My uncle said "OK, that'll get you to the end of the drive".

Its about right. When I first got mine, friends would ask to look under the bonnet and say 'wow what a lump, can you fire it up?' They then looked really strange when I said 'sure, for a tenner'

Years ago I restored an old Jag. It was a big old thing, and not the most desirable one (wanted a Mk II but couldn't afford it, so bought a 420G!). Anyway, it was just for fun, and I didn't drive it much. Went to the petrol station one day and just stuck a tenner in. The guy behind the desk said "Will that actually make the bottom of the tank wet?!"

Much as I love the Astons (in any and all variations) as soon as they put a wing on the back of anything (no matter how neccessary) I think No no no no no no!!!! Same goes for skirts, yukk.

A cool car for me is one that will go like the clappers but not attract the attention of mr plod (sneaky).

Aye I am on there under a few names depending on what I am posting, but some of the cars sometimes are rather well done and nicely executed and they lay into it.

Even if it is a 1.4 Escort made to look like a Cosworth wannabe if it is done well why slate it?

But when it looks like that R64 wannabe ( regular barryboy readers will know what i am on about ) thats barry.

I'd have a stab at the McLaren F1 :)
For a car built in '93, still looks great, and say that there are few cars out there that could match it.

Jeremy Clarkson drives the Bugatti Veyron (http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,12529-1890873,00.html)

...the new Bugatti Veyron is worthy of some industrial strength genuflection. Because it can do 252mph. And thatâ₠¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s just mad †” 252mph means that in straight and level flight this car is as near as makes no difference as fast as a Hawker Hurricane.....The extra speed had to come from changing small things on the body. They started by fitting smaller door mirrors, which upped the top speed a bit but at too high a price. It turned out that the bigger ones had been keeping the nose of the car on the ground. Without them the stability was gone.

In other words, the door mirrors were generating downforce......:disturbd:
