Anyone else having speed problems in Manchester, I have virus checked the pc addware and highjack this the pc is clear.
I have 2mb yet I am getting speeds like

1st 128K took 9594 ms = 13662 Bytes/sec = approx 114 kbits/sec
2nd 128K took 25719 ms = 5096 Bytes/sec = approx 42 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 23031 ms = 5691 Bytes/sec = approx 47 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 28406 ms = 4614 Bytes/sec = approx 38 kbits/sec

Just wondering if its the proxies but I am on bagu-4 at present

I am looking at changing the router incase this is the problem but just wondered if others was having the same problems.

2nd 128K took 547 ms = 239620 Bytes/sec = approx 1994 kbits/sec
3rd 128K took 531 ms = 246840 Bytes/sec = approx 2054 kbits/sec
4th 128K took 547 ms = 239620 Bytes/sec = approx 1994 kbits/sec
seems fine to me :shrug:

My download speed is good on adslguide but on the upstream test it stops and uploads nothing.

Testing downstream speed...
Downloaded 1572864 bytes in 6485ms (1894 kbps)

well not sure if it is the router but now this speed test was without altering anything.

Not really, on 1.5mbit I got 1534 for each of them and just now the first time I pressed it -

2nd 128K took 344 ms = 381023 Bytes/sec = approx 3170 kbits/sec

If you read my first post without changing anything I was getting speeds below 56K so somewhere there is somthing wrong. I have completed all teh checks on hte pc for anything that woud slow it down and the speed tests was still below 56k..

I tested using three different methods at first. will have to see what tomorrow brings..

I've switched back to transparent proxy and it's working fine now, Baguley one I was on started playing up the other day. I'll see how it goes.
