Ok i need to know what i could do or will anything in the future happen to get higher speeds

Currently i am on UKOnline 1MB. I am 2.90km from my exchange. The exchange only has ADSL and Cable. No LLU. Cable is a no no and i will explain later.

My stats are as follows
Downstream Upstream
Line Attenuation 55 db 15.5 db
Noise Margin 24 db 24 db

My issue with cable is this. They sent me a bill 4 weeks later and gave me 4 days to pay it. After i told them i could not pay it within 4 days i got cut off. I therefore owe them money and i am trying to get it to pay it off but as of now cable is a no go.

Now is there anything i can do to get faster speeds.

Thanks

Um ... switch to UKonline's 2mb service?

2mb line attenuation is 43db

ok, so your line is incapable of supporting higher speeds because of signal degredation...
Unless ADSL2+ vastly increases the radius of service from an exchange (which it should to a degree) you're either stuck with what you've got or need to change the laws of physics

Only thing I can think of is to save like mad pay your bill off and go back to cable

Pfft, BT guideline, I know a few people that are on 2mb with >50db ds attenuation.

But how

UKOnline never heard of a manual order

So any chance of a answer

I have absolutely no idea as I never placed or processed the orders, perhaps their line degraded post install, perhaps they bribed someone in BT. You could also have a scout around google, there are people posting their >50 att. on 2mb on forums, http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,14143965~reverse=0;days=9999;root=ukbb;mode =full for example (3rd post)
