just recently while online gaming (UT2004) movement would randomly go on the fritz.

ran winmtr to trace where the problem might be.
10.112.48.1 is the begining of chain, i tried winmtr on the laptop too and still get the 1000+ pings now and again so its not a pc problem i think.
so either router (linksys BEFSR41) or connection problem.
what should i try next?

i ran winmtr for an hour this morning without high pings this afternoon the spikes are back.
looks like it could be an NTL problem.

Try connecting directly so as to eliminate the router.

Also, there isn't anything else running on your network is there, eg p2p software on another pc?
