Currently, I have one e-mail account set up through NTL with my broadband package. Does anybody know if it is possible to remove this mail acount?

Basically I am getting about 3-4 spam messages a day and I'm fed up with it so I want to delete this account so the spam messages get returned and I can have a fresh address.

If it isn't possible to do this, is there a way to get the server to automatically delete all incoming mail so I can just forget about the account and not have to empty the messages off the server regularly?

Go to the NTL homepage and on to email options.

Select 'add extra mailboxes' and sign in. (http://autoreg.autoregister.net/cgi-bin/xtrmail)

From there you can delete the account.

Excellent thanks, knew I must have been missing something obvious

If it is your only ntlworld email address, then it also your username & cannot be deleted.
You can, however, change it.
From ntlworld.com, select the username & password option instead, log in using your current username & from there follow the instructions to change it.
The email options button is just for adding/removing additional mailboxes.
Hope this helps

Oh yes, just as a side point, doing this can sometimes affect your access to your ntlworld webspace, as it will not change the username automatically for that as well. If you don't use it then feel free to ignore my waffling.
