Noticing on roadwoks.org Virgin are laying new ducting and cable in the other half of town accross the river that never got finished back in the BCM days.

Are they expanding now? got friends nearby that area that would be thrilled to have Virgin.

there could be a multitude of reasons why they are laying duct. Is not always about expanding the network, sometimes its linking one network to another. fingers crossed for your friends.

Virgin Media have had a program of expansion for a few years now.

From memory it's approx 50,000 properties a year.

Infilling areas in a franchise area that were not cabled, new developments and adj areas that are economical to build.

It's nothing like the build of the Mid to late 90's, but it is a steady annual increase of new cabled propeties.

However, there are also builds for national business projects such as Everything Everywhere backhaul where you may see ducting going in.

The way to make sure is to see if they're ducting a spur to each property.
