I have what used to ne an ntl analogue cable and phone line in my house
The cable component is long since dead and not used.... But the phone line we do use
We still have the huge ntl white box inside the property. I have removed the unused cable attenuator years ago and all that remains in the box is the master socket. It has the incoming pair screwed into the IN on pins 2 and 5, it also has an extension line connected to the adjacent krone connectors using pins 2, 3 and 5
I have been looking around for a smaller master socket .... But all the ones i have found just have pins 1 to 6; with no where for the incoming pair to be connected (suppose in old terms these were also referred to as A and B)
So my question.... Can i just wire the incoming pair to the 2 and 5 pins and the extension to pins 2, 3 and 5 to the new master socket ? Or am I missing something
And yes its definately a master socket with the large capacitor etc
Many thanks
