Just had the upgrade(?) to S'Hub + 100MB, and unfortunately the Engineer towed the party line and disconnected my beloved VMNG300. He did, however leave it with me, so now I have another mission to get it back on.......

Anyway, here are a the rates at 21:00 on a Friday evening, not too bad really. These are wired, as I rarely use wireless and the S'Hub is in modem mode. ;)

The big difference I've noticed right away is gaming. The S'Hub is adding at least another 75 - 100 and more to my pings. Not happy on that score!!

Phone them up, say your modem needs activating, give them the MAC of the VMNG300 and play dumb.

But to be honest those figures aren't half bad.

Superhub adding 75 to your pings with a final ping of 10 would suggest you had a ping of -65 with the VMNG300.

is that a direct connection.. ethernet to modem mode WAN port or have you got your own router in between?

Basicially how the vmng has a minus ping is its just that good, it knows what you want before you click the mouse and it loads the data to your pc so it's ready before you click :)

LOL, good one!.

I was talking about when gaming. I normally play an old game called 'Halo' for the PC, and have done for quite some time. Usually pings about 120 or so, however with the S'Hub it's never below 200.

The connections are PC -> Gigabit Switch -> Router -> S'hub.
Router has Gigabit as well, ASUS RT-N16.

He did however take the MAC after I spoke to his boss, who said they would try to provision 100 from their end and ring me back. But of course, they never did..... :(
