I was told that area isn't due to be upgraded till the summer July onwards would this be the reason why it isn't that fast. Could it be the lines and cabinets aren't capable of these speeds.

They wouldn't have upgraded you if the cab wasn't ready for 100Mb, whether your area is over subscribed or not is another story..

Apparently there is 2 other people have it in the area as I spoke with 100 MB tech support first before ordering it as sales where denying it was available. they tested the cabinet i am on and was able to tell me this.

well your power levels are good dude. What are you basing your speed on? Proper downloads (newsgroups or multiple http downloads) or speed tests?

Although technically you could be put on a 100Mb profile before your area was ready, this is very unlikely to happen due to the way the upgrades are managed.

Just noticed today that my speed has doubled from 50Mb to 100Mb, thought i would have been sent an e-mail to let me know, but nothing, i aint bothered about the e-mail anyway, just delighted im on the 100Mb and its as steady as a rock.....:)
