Hello folks, Just been on the phone to virgin to upgrade my evening and weekend calls to all day, while I was on there the guy offered to upgrade my BB to 100meg. I think he has done it but from the speed tests etc I cant see any difference.

Was just wondering if all the settings from the hub look ok??

That all looks ok to me.

How are you running the test?

Wireless computer?

Wired computer?

currently wireless, going to give it a try wired in a bit. Its just a bit strange that my wireless seems to top out at around 50meg as well. guessing its just a coincidence :)

If you are using 802.11G equipment it max out around ~54mbit

Much less than that, given overheads.

That doesn't sound too bad for wireless. Wireless speeds aren't usually very high - and the Superhub doesn't always provide the best wireless speeds.

You're better off doing a wired speed test - and remember that if your computer doesn't have a Network Card that can do more than 100mbps, your result won't be as good.

20mbit on a speedtest.

Sorry wasn't thinking about the true speed just the standard number. Also the superhubs wireless performance is very poor and if you want to use wireless I would recommend you to stick it in modem mode and get a wireless router.
