I finally got round to installing my superhub and activating my speed boost from 10mb to 30mb only to find i am much worse off.

No matter how close to the router i am i can't stream any video from iplayer or tvcatchup. I have tried at 7AM after midnight and throughout the day with no joy.

What an awful bit of junk it is very angry that i have to use this to get the 30mb service :(

Before you blame the hub what's your power levels? I ask as the superhub seems to be more sensitive than the older modems

Just put it in modem mode and use a separate router and your wireless and routing need will be ok. Forgot to say you sure your power levels are ok still after the upgrade.

is it the same wired up via ethernet?

I have had my superhub just over 3 weeks since upgrading to 60mb. So far things have been running smoothly. The only thing I have noticed is the drop in signal strength compared to my old Belkin N router that I had connected to my old modem.

My devices still indicate full signal apart from my playbook that has 4/5 on signal which is exactly as it was with the old setup.

What do you mean bu check the power levels? Signal? Speed i get on the device or something else?

I only seem to have problems with streming video as downloading was fine last night.

Streaming is basically just a download...

Check the modem power levels ( http://192.168.100.1 >> advanced >> connection)

yep just been told the same thing in this topic.

super hubs do not like power levels over 10dB on downstream. cost <£8 for me to fix, ive been told or get an engineer out who will do the same thing. Why they don't check this at install and just rush off was a bit annoying.

the superhub is alot lesss sensitive, for example the VMNG300 had problems with downstream power above 6, whereas the superhub can run fine at around 10, mine runs at 12 with minimal issues

Not really sure what all of that means

there fine.

have you changed wireless channels and rate/mode to 145

Risco

Change the channel from auto to either 1,6 or 11. Also set the router to 145mpbs, as the 300mbps is complete and utter crap on the superhub. Hopefully the updated wireless drivers that out coming with the next firmware will solve this.

i can not say the superhub is bad

i think the first poster opened the thread may face extremely power levels issues or perhaps a not good connection between cables

the downstream is -10 and still getting over 100 mb
i believe it performs very well

was 58 but for some reason the last week fall to 53
even with that i gettting over 100 mbps all the time

2 engineers came 2 times and they told me is nothing they can do from the cabinet...i need repull cable and this is suppose to be this wensday

but the reason i posted is because i think with that power levels SH perform well
i still got more that what i was expected
this test is just now

This is why a tech is sent for D3 upgrades, but people complain about that too ..
