Trying to use the Spotify app but it contantly stops playing after a few tracks. Mostly its at the end of a track. The only way to get it to continue is to skip to next track. It will then play a few more and then stop again.

Very annoying and renders the app useless:(

ANyone else getting this?

The songs stop at the end ? and the only way to fix it is to move to the next song .. lol ..

er ..

But seriously contact Spotify, VM have no control over the application or the streaming.

well, they do

but it sounds more like a computer/application fault

Apart from providing bandwidth for the stream, not really, and while I dont know how spotify works, I would also tend to agree the symptoms described would suggest to me, an application fault.

you said VM have no control over the streaming, seeing as VM are the OPs ISP then they have a lot to do with the streaming

Yes, the biggest cause I see of Spotify streaming stopping short is a slow/congested internet connection.

Yes, the biggest cause I see of Spotify streaming stopping short is a slow/congested internet connection. But that would be the case if it stops during a song, Spotify playing the whole song, but not moving onto the next would seem to be something else.

Oddly, I have had similar issues with the Mobile app recently - even when the songs are stored on the handset

It's an application bug, It's been happening to me since I first downloaded it. I first assumed you manually had to change song until eventually it started moving to the next track. As you can guess it stopped again :p:

Yeah, you're right, I was just giving an example of where the ISP does have something to do with it. I don't use it myself, just going on what I've had other people complain about. The ones I've seen usually result in auto-skipping when it shouldn't rather than not auto-skipping when it should.

No, I take everyone calls. Bad internet isn't specific to VM.
