Everything is soooo sloooooooooow......

My internets been very frustrating for the past fortnight or so, I suffered a 24hr outage about two Saturdays ago and since then it's never been as good as it was before. I called services and they advised maintenence work in the area. I thought it might be to do with the speed upgrade, but is this the case, and does anyone know how long it will take?

P.S. Tonight is the worst so far...can barely load any web pages, reminds me of the old 56k modem dial up days.

Thanks... I've logged into the superhub but were you go from there to obtain power levels?

means gobbledegook to me but hopefully maybe some of the techies can identify a problem in there?

I think it's always been like that, although I'm not sure because it's the first time I've looked at this page in the superhub settings.

try a pin hole reset to refresh. google superhub pinhole reset if your unsure where it is on the SH.

Cheers I will do that now...

Edit: Okay done this now, thanks thenry it seems to have made a major improvement

Although I will keep monitoring it over the next few days and if it crawls down to a snails pace, I will remember the pinehole reset for future reference.

Thanks again :)

Aaaah bliss... web pages that instantly appear (I was starting to forget what that felt like)... you can never underestimate that convenience.

That's strange the time still hasn't populated, but that doesn't matter as long as the connection remains like it is now. Not sure of any differences to the stats I posted before. Cheers.

your power levels are fine.

not sure why the date/time isnt showing up. cant be maintenence related surely.. qas?

did VM give an ETA to maintenence going on? you may want to swap your SH for a new one.. give VM a call. tell them your time/date isnt showing up and your power supply is making noise.. they should send you a new SH no questions asked. give your mobile number if you want to be updated by postman pat. also the box it comes in will contain a send back pre paid sticker for your old/current SH. all instructions etc. will be within the box.

the time is hardly a fault, but yeah they will give you a new superhub at no cost with the power supply issue

ETA for Oldham speed doubling is Mar-April 2012 so we can expect some downtime now and again until then.

Cheers everyone, everything seems to be working peachy both last night and this morning. If I have any problems again I will reset and if it continues after that ask for a replacement SH. Upto now touch wood, it's back to being like it was before. :)
