Its been doing this a long long time.. but now ive had enough, is everything ok here?
my internet is slow wired or wifi, but yet checking on speedtest it says 9mb which is good im on 10mb, but it takes around 2 minutes to complete the whole test, upload and download! when im on the pc the connection is coming and going all the time, and is very annoying.. i dont want to call, because i get the usual engineer visit. But if something is wrong with the above i will call to report it. I really hate paying for such a rubbish service... im not on the internet at all probably more then half the day, and when we do turn it on its because we want to use our mobile phones on it, because i have virgin mobile, and the internet on that is total rubbish, slow and always stops working, cant wait for contract to end!! Also im a low user of data would virgin put me on a different section that is high use as it wouldn't effect me as much??? but anyway if anyone can help - please do! just done a ping test.

upstream levels are low. you need a tech out to sort it out.

although it is frustrating atm dude it isnt due to poor service, it is because it is broken. Ring 150 and tell them your upstream power is too low. If they tell you there is maintenance work going on which won't be completed till the end of the month they are fobbing you off and talking out of their bottoms. Once the tech has been out you'll be flying.

also your frequnecies are a bit out but not sure it should be causinga problem, but you should be getting a great service with 6 downstreams!!!!!! as said the upstream is low and will eb causing problems, dn take maintence in area as maintenence doesnt mean low upstream power level sit is eitehr headend fault which would have a quick fix as it effect many cusotmers or it is alocal issue most liekl the taps

Frequencies are fine.

i was scratching my head at that one as well :) What difference do frequencies actually make? Does each channel operate on a certain frequency so that you lock on to channel 24 which is 282750000 and channel 25 which is 282800000?

He probably means that there is a fairly wide variation in power level across the frequencies - highest is 3.4 dBmV but lowest is 1.5dBmV.

Then he should have said power levels are off, not frequencies. Y'know, just like I don't say aeroplane when I mean car.
