Hi all, my power levels have been out of acceptable range since i upgraded to 30mb, but never worried because the connection has been as solid as a rock.

However lately i have noticed webpages are taking ages to load, some not even loading upon first request. I have changed DNS and even tried using virgin medias proxy but doesn't seem to help.

Now the weird thing is i can game, use ventrilo (VOIP), etc fine aswell as ping bbc.co.uk and get a constant 10-20ms. Yet websites like facebook will take multiple attempts to load up.

might be along shot but try clearing you browser cache

also might want to try ipconfig /flushdns but your power levels would be interesting to know but i suspect it wouldnt be the cause as it would generalyl affect pings and connection altogether, but sayign that i have seen stranger ones before

Had to reboot the superhub to gain access to 192.168.0.1, here are my power levels although the downstream power is usually 9-12dBmV, it seems to have dropped a little. I know my upstream is high aswell. I tried flushdns before posting, haven't tried clearing browser cache mainly because of the amount of stored passwords i have, i end up having to reset them for each website because i can't remember which password is for which site haha.

upstream is little ion the high side and could be causing the problem, donstream is perfect well at the upper end of the acceptabl level but you want it lower than 7 not above 10

high upstream can cause you to drop packets which is probably why your webpages arent loading. You need one opf those attenuators (can remember the name of it) which knocks 5bd off in both directions. Either that or ring 150 and can a tech to come out and do it.

im using firefox 10 and its fine?

firefox 10 esicpally hasa lotof bugs generally youdn notice them but i spot them asa developer i have reported them as with many other users but for some reason mozilla seem to be more interetested in getting mroe and more newer version out to support more and mroe html5 but dnt make sure hte bug are fixed there basically putting post alpha pre beta out ever time if you loook at the deploment it has speeded upa lot and that not cause of mroe developers.....

the addon is click and clean

jsut amke sure to untick formsnd search history, active logins and sire preferences that should amke sure your data is saved, if you used google chrome and set up sync with agmail address it would save the passwords on secure enyctperd file for you and only if you unselect it will it stop remebering it

I have the same issue especially with facebook.

using google chrome. (IE is doing it too just checked)

Power levels are fine.

Im going to change DNS servers and all other easy to do things.

---------- Post added at 14:40 ---------- Previous post was at 14:36 ----------

Well changing to Google's DNS servers instantly resolved the problem as expected, at least for me.
