View Full Version : Superhub Wi-Fi Issues
Upgraded to 50mb(and TiVo) on Monday.
Since the install have been getting regular dropouts of WiFi...everything else is OK.
This afternoon has been a nightmare.....no Wi-Fi at all....2 phones and a laptop all unable to connect. The network is identified but it will not connect.
Done the usual....unplug/plugin router - unplug/plug in cable...all to no avail? Blue light on box is continually flashing ?
Any ideas...
Thanks

Superhub ?
if the 3rd bottom LED is blue it means its running the 5GHz band. Green will mean 2.4GHz.
a channel change may cure the issue.
download inSSIDer (http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/) onto a laptop capable of wifi communication. run the program and let it scan for networks within reach of you. note which channel number each uses then set your SH to use a number that isn't in use.
Superhub ?

Superhub is set to operate at 2.4Ghz so shouldn't be trying to operate at 5..but Cheers..Will try that, but if this is the issue, why would it suddenly disappear this afternoon all together ?

on all devices? not sure, try the pinhole reset > http://help.virginmedia.com/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=345041&CURRENT_CMD=SEARCH&CONFIGURATION=1002&PARTITION_ID=1&USERTYPE=1&LANGUAGE=en&COUNTY=us&VM_CUSTOMER_TYPE=Cable

Yep..both phones and a laptop. All three are now not picking up the WI-FI network
Will try the manual channel selection and see where I get

It's possible that you have a faulty hub ?

I switched my superhub to modem mode and use the Wi-Fi on a D-Link 615 router.
Since doing this everything has connected fine with no dropouts.
When using the Wi-Fi on the superhub, my phone wouldn't connect from about a foot away :(

Cheers....will explore sorting the superhub issue first....before going down other avenues

I've got 2 GCSE's. 1 in Biology and 1 in Metalwork...If you want your cat welding then I'm your man.
Cat welding sounds pretty cool to be honest.
