Hi
I have a new computer upgraded from windows XL to windows 7 and have tried several times to install ntl broadband but keep getting the message,

Failed to ping 62.253.162.237, or 216.142.26.253.

Since your system was able to do a DHCP release/renew, you **DO** have raw connectivity (i.e. all your cables are connected and working), but your system is unable to PING these ip addresses in the outside world.

Click the "Help" button for more information.

Error Code :9
Can you help please?

You do not need to install anything on your computer and any old NTL disk will not work on a Windows 7 machine, just remove the disk bin it and reboot the modem it should just go online.

Do an IPCONFIG /ALL at the command prompt and post your lan settings (unless you're connected directly to a modem then hide the last few digits of the IP/Gateway)
