I need a new router and was wondering if you nice people could recommend one for me. My current one drops all the time and I can't even access the settings' page anymore.

I have 10mb broadband, if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance :)

Subject to the amount of money you have to spend, I'd go for the Netgear WNDR3700 I did. It's got 4 gigE LAN ports, the WAN port is also gigE (ready for the future), dual band 300Meg wifi. It is rock solid and really well used (both wired & wireless). I currently would not look at anything else if this router went up the swanny.

you've probably got warranty with Belkin.. whats the model number? you might be able to get a free upgrade.

I strongly recommend Linksys (by Cisco), I have had 3 different models over the last 10 years and havent had a problem with any of them, they are fantastic. If you want a direct replacement of what you have probably got atm you would be looking at this one:

If you want one which is going to last you a while with 802.11n, dual band and gigabit ports you need to be looking at this one. It is well worth the extra £13 you are looking to pay:

This guide might help you. http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/lanwan/router-charts/view

If you are thinking of upgrading to 100Mb internet you will definitely need something with a better throughput than the Cisco E2000.

Before you go out and spend money, have you tried doing a factory reset of your current router? Sometimes that can improve things a bit. If you cannot get to the control panel it sounds like it may have got it's firmware in a bit of a twist. The manual should have details of how to do a reset.
