Is the service status checker not working today?

http://my.virginmedia.com/service-status/

I keep getting this message below.

"We don't recognise this phone number. Please re-enter your full Virgin Media home phone number."

It would appear so - I get the same message if I enter my phone number or post code.

I had that too! Probably overloaded with the internet problems they are having today.

Even if it does accept your details, it lies. Over the weekend it showed my area's broadband was fine. Yet when you call faults, you get a recorded message that it was broke. And of course if you do have broadband faults, unless you are posh enough to have a smartphone, you can't check it anyway.

We are trying to improve the Status Checker, as we know sometimes it doesn't give you information, especially around broadband faults. P2 faults that are not cab related are the main ones that don't show.

The free status line will give you and service announcements though 0800 561 0061

I take it you have no idea about the call centre in Kirkby then run by Vertex, and to think it is two minutes away from Knowsley.:nutter:
