Thnx...I thought it was my connection. Just spent nearly an hour trying to get through to CS before i thought of checking with this forum. It seems they're a little busy over there.

On my wired PC and my work laptop on wired VPN I'm having the same problems as everyone else here in Bo'ness. Using my iPhone or the wife's iPad on wireless I'm not having any issues.

Any idea why that would be?

Could be that the wireless on those devices isn't exactly great so maybe your not noticing it?

Still problematic here in the Crawley area.

Just doing a speedtest on a wired connection on my 100mb service and getting 8mb down.

Better than earlier though, I was getting 0.5mb down and 0.2mb up!

No problems here in Coventry all morning. Wireless connection.

Up speed reads slow because I am uploading some stuff.

Crawley was pretty bad earlier, but seems to be back to normal now (for browsing at least, not tried downloads).

I've noticed issues over the past couple of days, with some sites displaying html code (I'm assuming) in sections of the page and failing to load right away.

I had problems here in Birmingham from the early hours of this morning. It was resolved for me at around about 10:30.

Anyone know what happened?

Phil.

Only about 15 minutes after posting earlier I did another speedtest and am now back up to 100mb. I was up at around 5 this morning at the Superhub had lost its connection completely. Of course my immediate reaction was the Superhub being the problem, but not this time!

Major issues still where i am. Hertfordshire area. Getting about 0.1 speed on a 20 meg account.
Spent, sorry, Wasted 15 mins of my time, 1st ringing up the service problem phone line, my area wasnt on it and it asked me to hold if i wanted to speak to an operator, then 2 mins later said goodbye and cut me off.

Then rang main line, 10 minute wait, got through to someone in India i couldnt quite understand who told me it was due to lots of people in my area using the internet. Laughable. Never experienced this before, worked fine last night. Told her if this is the new policy and i am expected to get by on less than 1 meg when i pay for 20 i will cancel my entire Virgin Subscription.

Sorry but today ive had my house alarm go wrong also (battery), had to wait in the bank as arranged a meeting with business specialist via HSBC Head office (Personal Business card of this specialist had a wrong email address on so mails bounced back and phone number was head office who did not pass my message on) and now come home to do abit of online shopping for Xmas to find this.

No wonder UK is screwed if this is how people run business's.

Update:
Being abit of an annoyed customer at the moment, they just rang me on an "unavailable number" and automated message asking if i wanted to leave feedback on my phone call to them. Unbelievable, 1st messing up my internet then sending me a unsolicited phone call.

Must be a local problem. Getting 19.8meg on my 20meg connection in Hemel. Feedback calls are triggered automatically after you've spoken to an operator.

Yes something is afoot. My graph shows a doubling of latency since about 8pm (also Crawley here):

New Malden here and I have the exact same problem - I have the 100% packet loss at the same time you did this morning and see the exact same profile after 8pm you see too.

I've been having periodic "disconnects" all day. I can be surfing fine, then all of a sudden I lose everything, then various sites come back one by one.

I play World of Warcraft and my guild has a Ventrilo server, and it seems like both Ventrilo and Warcraft are always the last to return.

I'm in the Burnley area, anyone around here experiencing the same thing or is this possibly a problem with my hardware?

The National routing issue was fixed this morning at 10:30am, anything after that is not part of that issue.

Might be best to start a new thread.

Too many people in lots of different areas seem to have major issues today. It would be nice if Virgin told us what was going on instead of having everything on a green light, working at intended when it clearly isnt. I still have less than 1 meg when its working and its been over 4 hours now but according to Virgin everythings fine.

Awfull customer server to be honest. Ill try again in the morning to see if fixed and if not ill call cancellations as gauranteed to get a UK person to speak to then.

I can understand things go wrong BUT for gods sake tell us and not tell us everything is fine and no faults

Digital Fanatic

What green lights? Are you looking at the National Status Page or Cable?

Might be a good idea for mods to close this thread as it will just end up with random faults being linked to a closed outage from this morning.
