I'm on the 10Mb service and I've been getting poor internet performance in the last couple of days, typically pages loading incompletely or not at all. The problem comes and goes. Sometimes everything stops completely for hours. My neighbour is also on VM and isn't affected.
I suspect a downstream signal level problem, but can't really be sure from what I've read here as there are so many different numbers! My downstream power hovers around 9.4 to 9.6dBmV most of the time. The corresponding SNR is usually around 36 or 37dB but is quite erratic, sometimes falling to 27 or 28dB and then recovering. This sort of correlates with when the performance is poor, but the correlation doesn't seem to be 100%.
I'd really like some advice on where to go next please. Are my figures likely to be linked to the problem and if so what's the procedure for getting it fixed? Many thanks for any help.
