Problems in Portsmouth Area?

Is it just myself and my sister & sister-in-law who have been suffering slow speeds on VM 50mb after about 6pm every evening?
It becomes virtually unusable, couldn't even manage a speedtest last night even that just timed out.
This has been going on for two weeks now, so fustrating as i was very happy with VM 50mb until now.

I will point out that it's been about two weeks since the schools closed for the summer.I guess most teenagers are currently hitting their favourite online games and download gigabytes of teenage stuff to look at later.My service has slowed during that time at particular hotspots in the day..

im near fratton on 100mb and i have a terrible service this evening signal keeps dropping every 20mins and really slow speeds
