Neighbour is thinking of signing up for VM broadband, but doesn't have a phone, only a mobile phone.
Rather than run up his phone credits, do you think I can let him come over to my house and call them using my VM landline on 150, or will this confuse them with a new customer calling from an existing customers line?

Shouldn't be an issue, but make sure he doesn't do the authentication thing of the phone number you are dialling from to speak about this account.

@Rob: Good point, thanks for reminding me of that.

He could always ring the Sales Team direct on 0800 052 0459 and choose option one.;)

0800 numbers aren't free from mobiles...
saynoto0870.com will give landline alternative, but still chargeable from PAYG. suppose it depends which is cheaper for the prospective customer... 150 free :)

But it is the Direct Sales number which is not so easy to find on 150 because I tried before posting.;)

Unless you are on Giffgaff mobile where 0800 numbers are free ;)

Or have a call plan and use http://www.0800buster.co.uk/ which gives you a geographic number to dial first.
You could just let him use your broadband and do an online signup

Come to think of it that's definitely the way to go because he wants to grab any cashback going and you have to do that online.
Or go this route: http://connectfriends.virginmedia.com/
Gets him a free install and you £50 off your bill.

.. and TopCashBack are on £151 for the next 4 days.
I had £125 from SimplifyDigital when I started with VM.
