Slow page loadup

I've had this problem for quite a few weeks now.

When I'm browsing the internet certain sites take a while to load up. It isn't necessarily the same sites over and over again, which suggests it not a problem with specific sites. Also at times if I reload the page(or hit return) when its hanging it will open immediately.

When I run a speed tests it says my speed in right, and when I'm downloading things then I still get my maximum download/upload speeds.

Previous threads on here suggest the problem is an ongoing one with Virgin, is it still the case?

Have you tried changing your browser?

I used to find FF was particularly bad in this respect.

I changed to Slimbrowser and while the problem is not completely eradicated it is reduced enough as to be almost unnoticeable.

Yeah, I've also tried IE and the problem seems to be the same also. I might try a different browser and see what happens. Cheers.

I think I may have got to the bottom of my problem. When I first started having it I added the webcache proxy and it improved things a little. However, I've just deleted it and my connection seems much better.
