I've just gone from VIP50 with two V+ boxes to VIP100 with two V+ boxes for no charge...however they refused to let me keep my 50Mbit modem...am I going to regret this?

Personally, I'd say no. I've had a SuperHub since December and have had no problems

Consultant's answer - it depends.....

Some people have had problems, some haven't.

I wouldn't say so!

I'm on 68 days uptime with the hub and heres the results I get on the 50 mb package

Wireless :)

Those are the stats for the wireless from roughly 23 feet away, upstairs and behind a steel RSJ away from the super-hub.

p.s. the 145 mb/s is because im using my mid 2009 macbook, which can only hit that speed over wifi. my late 2010 17 inch macbook pro receives at 230 mb/s from that distance, and 300 mb/s in the same room as the hub

p.p.s 4:30 pm so school, the school here finishes at 4:00 PM so start of peak time

Just depends on how you use it really

Using it as a wired connection you will be really pleased as its performance is solid with consistent top end speeds

If you use the wireless function you may be less pleased (hopefully not)

but my experience for what it's worth is the Hub gives a first class performance as a wired device, but a patchy and unreliable one as a wireless device

Good results see you are a mac user as I am :)

I just couldn't get a solid connection using my macbook pro, till I put my Time Capsule back into the network

Although the macbook will try and use a 5 GHz channel, and I had the hub set to 2.4 GHz as I have a mixed network, so that could be the reason

Now The TC is taking care of the wireless part of my network and will automatically assign the correct channel for the device connecting all is well

The speed test was taken from my office in the garden some 20m fro my TC

Apple Net is my time Capsule, the Hub is just acting as a modem

Well the techie couldn't get 100mbit working on my modem, presuming because he's been told to just install the hub?

Anyways...had one disconnect so far - let's hope it stays at one.

Update - no issues since yesterday. I'm receiving around 11.4MB/s from reliable sources.

I'm hoping it stays this way although I'm expecting many issues with the Superhub.
