Hi,
Got a plasma tv that does DNLA file networking...great I thought, stream movies from my PC to my tv in the lounge.
I have a few 1080p files will look great in HD on a 50" plasma.
Nope.
The network is incapable of streaming 1080p smoothly..constant buffering, cut-outs and general unhappiness.
Using Lantest I get speeds of:
---Writing--- ---Reading---
Packet length : 524,288,000 524,288,000
Time to complete : 0.3606551 2.0193631
Bytes per second : 1,453,710,207 259,630,376
Bits per second : 11,629,681,656 2,077,043,008
------------------ --------------------
Mbps: 11,090.9287033 1,980.8225708
Very much short of what I believe I SHOULD be getting?
On Superhub 30mb latest firmware.
As a comparison, I played the same 1080p file to the TV via USB and it was like lighning in comparison - able to visual forward etc with NO slowdown or stuttering.
Thanks for any help on this.
