Newsgroup servers

Hello all

Very strange speeds on newsgroup downloads today, I have 50mb but was downloading at between 14000 & 16000Kb/s but not all files would download.
Speed I normally get is around 5400 kb/s which is fast enough.

Any ideas anyone

so you are saying you was getting 14-16mb/sec? Some of the files wont download if you have got an old list and the files have been removed from the server, always better to do a refresh before you start downloading anything

Had already done several refreshes but server must have bee throwing a wobbly yesterday as all is ok today. Cheers

compressed headers might download at that speed.
