Meet ICE, a 6yr old blue staff :D
Belonged to my son but as he is moving to a flat he needed to re-home him. Superb with kids & even sat\slept in the car for 170 miles today when we picked him up.
Pic is from me phone so its why its on its side lol!

Its a pity that they have a bad name as when I see one I cross the road and I love animals

I wasn't aware staffies had a bad name, they're the most personable dogs around, they are actually known as 'the nanny dog'.

What ones have a bad name so that have bitten children? :erm: They all look the same to me

Oh lovely dog Alf, I'm sure he will give you many years of faithful devotion. :) Sasha are you thinking of Pit Bulls?

I am sure you will never regret your decision Al. I grew up with two Staffordshire Bull Terriers who would stand guard if strangers came any where near to me. Between them and our Collie who would try to shepherd me home if I strayed to far I never needed a nanny. :D I love the way they are built. A slab of body with a leg at each corner, it always looks like a force 10 gale wouldn't be able to rock them. :)

I could use a bit of slobbering. :spin:

Never met a bad staffy, as mentioned already, you've more chance of being licked to death! Also the pet Rotty's that i've met as off been soft as poo, add German Sheperds to that as well(although we used to have a hell of a time explaining to the locals that our white GSD wasn't a wolf!).

Thanks for the comments about Ice :)
Took him out for a 3 mile walk earlier, or was it "he took me" for a walk lol, after about 2 miles I had him walking to heel on a slack lead so things are looking good on the training side of things, he knows I'm boss lol (he says with crossed fingers) so far.
We weighed & sized him today, bang on 4st-56lb, 20" round the neck, 27" on the chest & 18" to the shoulder & as strong as a bloody bull Ox.
He is now on a harness (which was fun fitting) & he broke the chain\lead so we went and picked up a new heavy duty lead. Also he has got the most horrid bottom burps its unreal lol but he is now on a totally dry food diet so that may alleviate the gaseous effluent smells emanating from him. I'll try & get some decent pics over the next few days.

Took some yesterday while out with the dog. Also I worked out how far I have walked over the last 7 days, 34.6 miles & 10.5hrs on the hoof. Should work wonders for my fitness :)

Oh he's such a happy dog Al, you can tell by that cheesy doggy grin. Also loves his walkies, where he can root about and explore all these special nooks and crannies. Glad he has found a good home, may he continue to give you many years of companionship. :) ......and just as an added bonus you must be getting fit as a flea!
