I am totally fed up with the wireless performance of my Superhub on my 50meg service. I have tried all the known fixes to no avail.
constant dropouts on wireless are the main issue and a much slower upload speed too.

Now i still have my VMNG300 modem and want to reconnect it instead of the Superhub.

Is this possible as i understand it will need to be reactivated by VM again so what is the procedure for doing this??

Thanks.

If you didn't get the VMNG300 from VM the chances are they won't activate it for you. If you did then when you attach it there is a number to call in the walled garden pages. You'll need your account details and the modem MAC.

I did get the VMNG300 from VM as this was supplied and installed when we got the 50meg service some 17 months ago.

In that case just try connecting it. Either it will work or you'll get the walled garden pages. If you can't get out from there and access the full web there will be an 0845 (iirc) number to call.

Have now got the VMNG300 reactivated and upload speeds are back to normal.

Here is the speedtest result with the Superhub

Did you have to call or was it still registered to you?

That's not right, it'll either work (if the disconnect failed) or it wont.

WG wont come into play.

I assume it was still registered to me but simply reconnecting it did not allow it to work.
A call to VM was needed so i could give them the MAC code from the VMG300 and then they rebooted the modem from their end and it just worked.

WG wont come into play.Ah right - I assumed any unregistered modem would take you to the walled garden.

No, it needs to be registered to hit the Wall Garden.

VM geezer on the phone recommended bbmax for a speed test.

BB max gives the same results, well it does for me anyway.

VM geezer on the phone recommended bbmax for a speed test.

bbmax tests to the london namesco server, the same one on speedtest.net however through speedtest.net i get a higher result than on the bbmax tester, as speedtest does a longer test
