So around a month ago I decided to get Virgin Medias Superhub 50mb. It started off pretty decent with good speeds. However, when it comes to British prime time (between 4-11pm GMT) the internet turns incredibly slow, sometimes to the point where I can no longer connect to the internet, or where i disconnect every 5 minutes.

Does anyone know what might cause this problem? I'm not very good with computers so any help will be great.

I use wireless, but always have a 4-5 bar connection. I don't share the connection with any other computers.

I did some speedtest results, each test was ran about 15 seconds after the other.

If any other information is needed, just say and i will edit it in.

Thanks

looks like peak time congestion from what you have described. to confirm, you could post a pingtest.net result

also, to make sure, you could post your modem stats from http://192.168.0.1 using the default login of admin and password changeme then click on advanced settings under the three big red buttons and click on connection about half way down the page on the left. Once your there just copy and paste all the stats

downstream power waayyyyy too high and upstream too low. could be an area fault but if not, you will need a tech out to adjust the power levels

Ok so best thing to do is call a tech out?

Ok so best thing to do is call a tech out?

when you call up they will be able to tell you if there is an area fault, and if not they will book a tech out to adjust your power levels
