Hi.
I am a virgin media XL customer for home broadband.
I also have an iPhone4, on which I have just downloaded Newstap as an app for reading newsgroups.
My network provider (Orange) no longer supply a news feed with their service, so I thought I'd try and use news.virginmedia.com in the Newstap settings on my iphone.
This works perfectly for d/loading and reading ng's but it seems that I am unable to post follow-ups to threads or start new topics, even when inputting my username and password into the newstap settings, along with the news server address.
Is there any reason why this shouldn't work? Can I get a workround?
Or is there an alternative FREE news server that allows posting as well as reading?
Anyone know?
