Hi there,

just enquiring about a friend whose connection is performing quite poor at the moment.

https://www.cableforum.co.uk/images/local/2011/04/37.png

There are the details as follows:
Downstream Value
Frequency 339000000 Hz Locked
Signal to Noise Ratio 36 dB
Power Level 5 dBmV

Telford area

I'm presuming he is on the 30Mb package by the looks of the downstream frequency, however when giving him instructions to check the levels, it seems like he is not using a SuperHub as he didn't have to login, and everything was given on one page after going to 192.168.100.1

Thanks
Jordan

He is not on 30Mb and is either using a Motorola or Scientific Atlanta modem.

Can you get him to tell you the upstream power level please and can he see the operational configuration page of the modem which will give the speed as frequency has nothing to do with speed.

Telford is an Ex-Telewest area so if his friend can login without the need for a username and password it can only mean that he has one of the modems I mentioned.;)

Masque is a superhero hence the cool name, and knows what a modem is using his super reading skills.
Joking aside, I tried asking him to find out the other information, but then he went offline - will find out tomorrow for you.

Cheers anyway so far :)

I'll be honest - I miss that guy!
Roll on 200Mb in a few months/years? He will be soon back here telling everyone he has upgraded.

Or another fake outage like his last thread where the fault never actually existed when checked on the systems as he used the wrong fault numbers.
