New number, ex directory, cold calling on day one...

This seems a bit odd...

Had a second phone line installed this afternoon...

Had asked for it to be ex directory...

But after just seven hours, I've taken my first cold call trying to sell my double glazing on it.

How on earth has anyone managed to get hold of that number so quickly?

I think they recycle numbers. Maybe it wasn't an ex directory number before?

Correct, theres a chance its recycled. Best thing to do is register for the TPS and SilentGuard services which should help but will take time to fully register.
