Hi All,

Just wondering if any of you could help me out here.

For the last week or so i have experienced pretty slow speeds (without downloading at all during the day, avoiding STM hours)

This morning i formatted and am trying to download drivers etc but they all crawl along at 5-20KB/s

I can manage to pull around 200KB/s if i use a download manager, sometimes....

My speedtest result is

I am on the 10Mbit/512k Package (old, i know, but it's all i can afford:o:)

I have attached my downstream and upstream information from the modem but it makes no sense to me, is it all ok?

Your downstream SNR is too low and your Upstream power level is at 55 which is almost out of the acceptable range limit.

Just call up, tell them you connection details and problems your having, they'll send a tech out to fix it for you. :)

Here's a short post by another user, good for referance: http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Fibre-optic-broadband-cable/Power-and-SNR-levels-explained/m-p/133385#M28577

Not only that but the upstream modulation being QPSK could be a cause for concern. (Noise ingress?)

seems to only be the downstream snr being the problem, judging by the speedtest, the modem is coping fine with the upstream power level as well. the upload speed and ping are fine
