20mbit connection > old black small VM branded modem ambit 256?
geographically located RM11 area

Had this for a few days now, this was a recent test.
Its starting to cause issues with gaming. I comapred another player who is on VM near southampton and his trace is flawless. Therefore i assume a problem between me an Poplar UBR (again)
Hopefully its a signal issue?? Get anyone advise me what to do or book an engineer asap... i dont want to go through a 15 minute indian call centre BS routine. Would a 30meg upgrade get me out of this crap, would an engineer be sent to tweak some stuff?

As ever your help is appreciated.

Line stats are fine.

do a test on www.pingtest.net

you are only getting packet loss using the trace program, which is probably the VM firewall blocking the flood of packets being sent, similar to the problems with IP flood detection on the superhub.

Engineer cant do anything about ping. He can sort upstream SNR and dowstream but they are all fine.
