I have a few issues I'd like to address in planning for my installation of cable in a few weeks time.
I currently have an ADSL line which is stable but a little slow, so on that basis I have ordered 50mb Cable. However as my employer pays for the ADSL it is not going away. So first issue is I would like to try and combine cable and ADSL into the same router, I realise I can't combine the bandwidth together but having something that automatically failed over from cable>adsl if there was an outage would be nice.
Second issue is I currently have a Billion ADSL2+ router which has really good wireless coverage, even though it is sited in a cupboard in my Hall, I heard that the superhub has wireless "issues" and therefore having it also in a cupboard might cause me a coverage problem, so is there anyway I can continue to use my current router for the wireless part of my network.
Lastly I have a significant amount of kit in my house (wired and wireless) using the 192.168.1.0/24 network, I read somewhere that due to the superhub using 192.168.1.0/24 for one of it's guest networks it was impossible to renumber the main interface to this network, is this true and is there a way around it, this would be a major issue for me I have no desire to renumber 50+ devices (I run a virtual server setup at home)
Any help greatly appreciated.
