whats going on with usenet tonight? its now 1:30am and im gettting less than 150k with news.virginmedia.com (i just downloaded from http at full speed)

since 4pm iv downloaded 600mb and uploaded 30mb

I've also been getting slow speeds from virgins(highwinds) server for the past few months now. Gave up last night when i was getting 12kbps with 10 threads :rolleyes:

This happens ever now and then, check back again in a few days. Chances are it will be back to normal by then.

working fine now, must have been a test for the new upload throttle, but it wasnt announced

really annoying how they lump newsgroups in with torrents *grmbl*

i hate instant throttles

Clearly newsgroups are completely legitimate with no usage for copyright violation and no high bandwidth utilisation while torrents are dodgy and should be throttled ;)
