hi all.:) im new to the forum and ive been doing a little research on how to connect the downstairs virgin + hd box to the tele upstairs so i can watch whats showing on the box downstairs when its not in use. my options are a video sender which ive heard good and bad things about them.........eg they are prone to interferance from wireless internet cordless phones ect ect.or there is the rf modulator and coxial cable route which i was going to do. question is which is the best to do. from what ive read you cant change the channel through a video sender due to the remote on a vm box been a different type of signal so how do i get around that? also while searching i found a thing called a red eye convertor.........its supposed to make the vm remote work.......anybody got 1 in their set up? all in all im looking for ppl that have various dfferent set ups as i want to pick the best way of doing this.any help would greatly apreciated. cheers guys.:)

You don't need a Red Eye for any current VM STB. Any video sender should be able to send back the IR commands no problem. I suggest buying a cheap video sender from somewhere that has a no-quibble money back guarantee, then if you do get interference problems you can take it back and get a more expensive 5.8GHz one.

You'll only find out by trying it, I'm afraid.
