And your point is?

Well, what's your point?
Obviously your speed test result is going to increase once upgraded.

the thread had no point, but now the OP has posted a speed test result, I think the point now becomes "why is the OPs 50mb so donkey dump?"

I'm still keenly waiting for the latest OFCOM/SamKnows monitoring data, due to be released last month, as the one from 7 months ago shows the average speed on VM's 50mb service to be closer to 35mb.

Till I see updated data, I wouldn't say 44 is actually that bad.

qasdfdsaq yours still congested?

It's not as bad now, seemed to have eased off slowly since that sudden drop a few weeks ago. On the other hand it's disconnecting a lot more now too, and needing a modem reboot almost every day.

How's yours? Sounds like the bonded channels almost entirely "fixed" your connection, with crappy jitter being the only big problem that remains.

the bonding changed it completely. Even when I still had the very large jitter post 30mbit upgrade, I had stable download performance along with good generic performance, browsing, youtube etc. Then by coincidence not long after VM added a new upstream channel to my overlay port so now my overlay has 2 upstream channels, that made ssh way more useable. Load seemed to go up (a little, not much) on the upstream for a few days but now its lower again.

Downloaded service pack 1 of win7 earlier at solid 3.8meg/sec as well, felt very nice. No upstream slowdown either, although still jitter (probably will always be at least some there) its now not at a level where its a concern.

seems clear to me VM's problems have been stemming from a too small shared pipe problem since its early days (when was ntl etc.), I think upstream bonding cant come soon enough.
