Assuming you'll have your loved ones with you from first thing in the morning, when will you be opening your presents - in the morning or afternoon?

First thing in the morning as we have a 21 year old and she comes into our room every Christmas morning to unwrap her presents.

Both - the kids (19 and 23) have stocking in their rooms, so they have some presents to wake up to.

Then we go downstairs for breakfast (a tradition of bucks fizz and croissants), and then we have a pile of gifts each (which we open in turn), then we chill out for a bit, and after lunch we open gifts from family and friends, which are under the tree (again, taking it in turn, one at a time).

We have done this since the kids were young, as it spreads the fun through the day.

I bet it's a chore waiting for them to go to sleep before you go in and fill their stockings?

German?

French.
My relatives are French so we are doing it the French way. We open the presents at midnight then have a big meal.
Everyone has their own tradition but thats what we do.

We used to open them up in the morning, but as we go to my sisters for the afternoon/evening, we now open them all up when we get to her house.

Our son and his partner are coming to us for lunch so we will be opening all our presents when they arrive late morning. I can't wait to see their faces. I love giving presents. :)

I store / stack me pressies next to me chair and open them when I want, this can be over in an hr or spread over several hrs depending on my paper ripping mood, last yr it went into boxing day and bugged the bits of the misses, but hey tis the way I do stuff..

I do enjoy watching others opening theirs though, especially the folk who have a direct link between what they are thinking and their facial expressions..
