Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

Woooooooooooooo the title I've most been looking forward to being announced. Comming 2011. Entertainment Weekly somehow maganged to grab the exclusive reveal.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, hits stores late next year. EW recently visited the Santa Monica, California offices of Uncharted’s developer, Naughty Dog (http://www.naughtydog.com/), for a sneak peek at the sequel, and we returned wishing “late next year” was right damn now.

Dont want to give anything away so just follow the link above for the article and a couple screens an small teaser video. Expect the full reveal on Saturday at the Spike Videogame Awards when we'll probably get to see a little bit of the game :) Can't wait.

The first two games are my favourite PS3 games, with Uncharted 2 my GOTY for 2009 (just ahead of Batman AA).

You beat me to it. Was to busy looking at all the other announcments that just came out of the Spike Awards. Looks epic. Loved the little gameplay clips towards the end. November next year is gonna be awesome :)

BUMP!

I saw a Naughty Dog dev session for Uncharted 3 at the Eurogamer Expo in September, with project co-lead Richard Lemarchand and Nolan "Drake" North. It looked awesome, and the two of them made a hilarious double-act.

It's due for release on Wednesday 2nd November... which is next week! :D

I just picked my copy of it, glad I pre-ordered it because when I went there the woman working on the tills told me that I had to have a pre-order because the only copies they had was for pre-orders. I'm just starting to play through it now.

had mine monday, not played it yet cant wait to play/see it in 3d tho, going through batman arkham city atm finished the game just doing the side missions

Actually, neither was I. Every time I pre-order from them I usually get a phone call a couple of days before.

Stunning game and brilliant story which is right up there with Deus Ex Human Rev. Finished it in two nights though. Haven't tried the multiplayer or co-op modes yet.

Total rollercoaster of awesomeness :D

Not sure if I'd give it a 10, but it's certainly at least a 9 IMO.

I didn't get frustrated (unlike Batman AC), didn't feel any deaths were cheap, and didn't quit in a rage (unlike Batman AC). The boss fight was much better than Uncharted 1's QTE boss and Uncharted 2's PITA boss. Actually, the only times I can think of in this series when I've been seriously frustrated have been on Uncharted 2: the guy on the train you can't just shoot, and Lazarovic at the end.

My only niggles are story & character related:

Cutter needed more fleshing out, some back story, something. Chloe works with him, and even Elena knows who he is, but we didn't get to see anything explaining more about who he was, how Drake or anyone knew him.

Chloe & Elena felt a bit underused... but I can forgive that as it's all about Drake and Sully this time.

I'd have liked a bit more on Marlowe and Talbot. Also would have liked to know how Talbot survived being shot by Cutter, what the Tarot card was all about, and what the deal was about Drake's name.

Oh, and the shipyard & cruise ship section: Totally unrelated to the rest of the game, to the story...Could quite easily have been cut out without being a problem. I did enjoy it though.
