SCROOGE drinkers will use a host of underhand tactics to dodge getting the beers in over Christmas, research reveals.
From slinking off to the loo or popping outside for a cigarette, more than half admit to doing pretty much anything to avoid standing their round.
The round-dodgers are at it all year round but their sneakiness reaches new heights over the festive period

Wait a little while and when it comes to your round there will atleast be some people who have had enough and don't want another one. Makes it cheaper.

The easiest way to avoid having a round dodger in the group, is for the whole group to put an agreed equal amount of money into a kitty. That's what we used to do.

I started 100% round-dodging when the smoking ban came in... I just don't go to pubs any more.
