I have a freeview tv 24" lg flat screen and i wondered weather a freesat stand alone unit would work on it.We cant digtal until 2012 so i thuoght a freesat would do.??
Thread moved to Freesat/Freeview forum
A freesat unit will need a dish and will just connect to your TV via a scart lead (or HDMI if you go for a HD version)
Hi sorry weve got two tv one is freesat built in 32" and a dish the other is freeview only 24" both are LG?
so i was asking weather a freeview TV would take a freesat unit and would you get freesat TV
Freesat STB's should connect to any modern TV and most older ones. You just have to choose how to connect it.
All of the STB's have Scart connectors that provide good quality analogue output. Most should have HDMI (Digital) outputs giving the best quality, with the added option of HD availability if both the Freesat STB and the TV are HD ready.
Sorry to be a pain so the STB FREESAT that i buy will fit a modern tv and it will work??
As I said in my first post, if you have SCART (or HDMI for HD) then yes..
When though you say "fit" a modern TV I take it you mean will it connect and display via a modern TV??
Thats right youve and my questions thank you
