Poor 50Mb in Southsea

Had 50Mb fited 2 weeks ago today but since yesterday i've had really poor speed. I'v used the virgin test site and am getting about 2.9Mb down. Has anyone else been getting poor performance since yesterday?

depends with you have been using it for , xbox live or ps3 will hammer your speeds if ur been download will also hammer ur speeds, best thing to do is take out the leads of the modum and router for 4osecs then put them back in then check for speedtest, i have the same problem, been on 50mb now for 5 months ands its sill the same sometimes 2mb untill i reset the router ect, type in speedtest on ur seach bar then click on maidenhead thats what most of the virgin men use.

Maidenhead is to be avoided for speedtests but is OK for ping test. Best to ping bbc.co.uk with a tracert.

Without modem stats and log file it is near impossible to base an opinion on anything.

I always get best results to London speedtest.
