256 ambit wont work!!

hi i have a vigin media modem 255 model number CO8COO7.80 that works fine and i also have a 256 ambit MODEL NUMBER E08C013.00 that doesnt work when i screw cable on can i open it up and solder anything or remove something to make it work or is there away i can run both modems off the 1 cable ? thanks

Your 256 won't work as it will be unregistered on the network. You can only use one modem on one line. If you need to connect more PC's then get a router.
